Summary from Goodreads:

Matthew Fairchild is the Consul’s son and the golden-haired boy of the Nephilim. He has the love of his family and his parabatai James Herondale, and nothing to wish for, except excitement and artistry and beauty that do not seem to fit in with a warrior’s way of life. Matthew gets more than he bargained for at the Shadow Market, where he commits the greatest sin of his life—something he can never tell his parabatai, or any of the honorable Shadowhunters around him

My Thoughts

OK. Okay, so this short story was freaking amazing.

In a matter of a few pages, I fell in love with Matthew Fairchild. After 2 novellas, I have absolutely  fallen in love with him while some authors can hardly make me fall in love with a character after 300 pages.

In this novella, I don’t condone Matthew’s actions in any such way, but at the same time I could understand his actions. Also I completely ship him with Lucie, there relationship is absolutely adorable(I SHIP IT SO HARD!)

His narration was also adorable:

James was in the window seat, his black head bent over—what a surprise!—a book.

I told YOU! (ADORABLE)

Also Christopher talking about Marie Curie(I DIED)

tESSA AND JEM!

TESSA AND WILL

WILL AND JEM! There small moment at the end was so well done, it made me want to cry.

“Need you ask? I will go with you as far as I possibly may.”
